Ready to Help Your Child Learn Tennis?

The Cost of Not Getting a Starter Kit

The price for tennis lessons can range between $40 to $100 an hour depending on where you live.

But even with Tennis Lessons,  if a student hasn’t taken the time to learn certain Fundamental Athletic Skills,  then private lessons won’t really help. And the costs can really start to add up…

That’s Where You (the Parent) Can Make a Big Difference

Instead of going to the tennis courts and watching your child fail repeatedly (& develop bad ‘technical habits’ in the process), you could be at home, having fun, and helping your child build their Fundamentals in a positive way!

By following the steps in this innovative Grow Kit, you will:

  • Bring the Game of Tennis right into Your Home in a Positive Light
  • Help Your Child Experience Success & Personal Achievement
  • Promote the Start of a Growth Mind Set
  • Learn the  Secrets to Controlling a Tennis Ball
  • Plant a Love for the Game of Tennis Within Your Family

Who is this kit for?

The grow tennis development program is designed for parents that have children between the ages of 3 and 10 years old.  The purpose of this program is to teach parents how to introduce the game of tennis in a fun, positive, and effective way!

Not only will this kit provide quality time for parents and their children, but it will also help their children learn how to set goals,  experience accomplishing those goals, and aspire to do more.

Students who complete the Grow Tennis Development Program will  also develop a strong athletic foundation that they will be able to build on (in any sport) as they get older.

Why I Created the Starter Kit:

One day as I was teaching a lesson,  I watched a family become so frustrated that the father and son abruptly left the court. The father was steaming red and the son was in tears. Over the years, I’ve seen this same thing happen so many times: with fathers, mothers, & grand parents attempting to ‘introduce tennis’, and it would almost always result into a negative experience for the kid(s)….

So after seeing the 8 or 9 year old boys smile & excitement on the way in, and watching him leave in tears, I thought to myself, there has to be a better way…

So I’ve spent the last 4 years testing & developing an easy, affordable, & effective way for children to learn the basic fundamentals of tennis.

In creating a program, I not only wanted to create a  system that would help kids learn how to play tennis, but I also wanted to provide parents with the tools and resources that they needed to help work with their kids at home.

Why Learn at Home?

Because learning how to play tennis takes time and practice. By learning at home, it enables parents to work with there kids more often with less of a time constraint on their schedules.

I’ve also found that if kids see other people playing tennis at the courts, they immediately want to try and do what they see others doing.

In most cases however,  they aren’t very good at it and spend more time chasing the ball around the courts and getting frustrated (instead of having fun).

So learning at home helps creates a more controlled environment and helps kids focus more on the ‘skill specific’ goals that you will find inside of your starter kit.

What’s with the Growing Stuff?

At the same time of creating the tennis program, we were really getting into growing a lot of our own food at home. As you can imagine, when we first started growing vegetables we were not very good at it. So as we kept planting, I started noticing the similarities between teaching kids and growing your own plants from seed.

The way a child learns how to play tennis follows a natural progression. And, much like plants, they need to be nurtured so that they can develop strong enough roots to later thrive on their own.

The reality of tennis is that most kids aren’t going to enjoy playing early on because they won’t be any good at first.

However, once children experience success several times over and they realize what it takes to ‘master a new skill’, they often fall in love with learning new things. And before you know it, they will develop the skills they need to play tennis and reach new goals.

Frequently Asked Questions:

QUESTION: What’s in the grow kit?

ANSWER: The Tools included are simple, friendly, and fun. Each object in your kit has been hand selected to help your child learn the Fundamentals of Tennis. We designed the kit so that kids could not only start growing their Fundamentals right out of the box, but could experience the excitement of Success

QUESTION: Does a Racket come with the Grow Kit?

Answer: No. However, there is a low compression tennis ball that you can use in order to get started on the first few levels. If you’re following the Course Correctly, you won’t actually need a tennis racket until you reach  Level 4.

This progression will allow your child the time to build up their interest, develop the core skills they’ll need once it’s time for a racket, and give them plenty of momentum (and confidence) to keep pushing forward into some of the more intense levels that require a tennis racket.

If you want to purchase a tennis racket, check out this  ‘tennis rackets for kids’ buyers guide that can help you find the correct size for your child’s current height.

However, we recommend holding off on purchasing a racket until your child advances through Level 3.

Postponing the racket purchase can work as an incentive to complete the first 3 levels, as well as contribute to your child’s personal sense of self accomplishment ( ie: “I earned this racket”)

QUESTION: What is the ‘Watch It Grow Guide’?

Answer: This guide will show you simple DIY ways to plant, sprout, and grow your own seeds from home.  We know that everybody doesn’t have a ‘Green Thumb’, so we’ve included this guide to help you maximize your results.

QUESTION: Do the Seeds come with the Kit?

Answer: Yes. Each kit comes with a small variety of different vegetable seeds, and organic mix to help them sprout. The guide is full of simple & easy DIY ways to help give your seeds the best chances of having a long and successful growth.

QUESTION: We are suppose to be learning tennis, Why are we planting seeds?

Answer: There are unique similarities between: learning to play tennis and planting seeds that will  grow into vegetables. Let me explain…

I’ve watch countless children quit tennis because of the way it was introduced to them. Simply put, the environment wasn’t ideal and the ‘seed’ didn’t take.

Don’t believe me? Go to any local park and wait a few minutes. If it’s a nice day outside,  you will most likely see a parent trying to ‘teach’ their child how to play with little success.

Often times both leave the court frustrated.  Saying words like ‘keep your eye on the ball’ or ‘take your racket back like this’ is not going to do it.

And from what I’ve experienced, most kids that start like that don’t usually develop a true passion for the sport.

How many kids do you know enjoy doing things that they are terrible at?

And that’s a shame because the game of tennis is a lot of fun (once you get to a certain skill level where you can actually play it).

For most kids, it’s going to require 3 things: Good Information, Encouragement, and a good amount of  Time!

Seeds are very similar. You can’t just throw them outside and expect them to grow into fully developed vegetables that you’ll be able to enjoy.  Sure some might sprout at first, but without additional care they will likely burn out and wither away.

But you can prevent this from happening by following the program outlined in this Kit.
